We Make the Road by Walking

Wander, your footsteps the road,
and nothing more;
wanderer, we have no road,
we make the road by walking.
As you walk you make the road,
and to look back
is to see that never
can we pass this way again.
Wanderer, there is no road,
only traces in the sea.

PROVERBIOS Y CANTARES - XXIX

Caminante, son tus huellas
el camino y nada más;
Caminante, no hay camino,
se hace camino al andar.
Al andar se hace el camino,
y al volver la vista atrás
se ve la senda que nunca
se ha de volver a pisar.
Caminante no hay camino
sino estelas en la mar.

Message From the Conch and Cell

1. France retreat is in theory full with 25 participants. Maybe one or two spaces will become available if you really want to come!

2. Essential Yoga Teacher Training 2012 is open for registration (PDF).

3. Next week I will be India with Nathalie to explore and test the Journey to Himalayas and Rajasthan. We already have a few registrations, based on trust. It will be very different than South India, even closer to the Source of Yoga. Deposit of $800 is needed to reserve a space. Dates will likely be April 28 to May 13, 2012.

4. Keep in mind Eleanor's workshops on Backbends (PDF) coming up on May 6, and Restorative Yoga (PDF) on June 12.

5. Announcing in the Fall, lots of new rasa in the air! A new class for Musicians (Aimee, Mondays noon), for the Deaf community in ASL (Alan, Thursdays 6:15 pm) and two classes for kids and preteens (Aimee, Mondays and Wednesdays 4pm) as well as a Yoga as Antidote for Depression and Anxiety (Eleanor, Fridays 4pm) and finally, a restorative, Exhale and Relax, to end the week (Carla, Saturdays 10.15 a.m.) to replace the prenatal class.

6. This summer I will finally complete a sound-therapist certification in Spain with Nestor Kornblum. More bells, gongs, overtones and tuning forks coming up!

We hope to see you in class again to explore, inspire, refine and practice all facets of the diamond of Yoga.

Latcho Drom. Watch the movie and listen to the soundtrack. It begins in Rajasthan, the birthplace of all Gypsies, with tribal folk music. Rajasthan is special place, which we will visit in our next Indian Journey. The film ends in Spain with Flamenco.
