    Tom Battley, RYT 500 has studied with senior Iyengar teachers. Still in recovery from years of avid cycling, aerobic fitness regimens and weight training, Tom is especially eager to share yoga with other recovering obsessives. Tom's teachings convey Open Sky's love of music and poetry and a sense of community.

  • eleanor goldfarb

    Eleanor Goldfarb, N.P., RYT 500 is a nurse practitioner and an Advanced Restorative Yoga Trainer certified by Judith Lasater. She is obtaining Iyengar certification while continuing her studies with senior yoga teacher François Raoult and Senior Iyengar teachers Joan White and Dean Learner. When not on the mat, you can find her in the garden.

    Rick Lynch, RYT 500 is an Open Sky yoga teacher and director of the Finger Lakes Yoga Center. He has studied, practiced and experienced yoga for over 30 years and leads yoga retreats in Southeast Asia. Influencing his teaching are his experiences in wilderness canoeing, trekking and skiing.

    Carla Anselm, RYT 500 began yoga training in 2001 at Shakti Yoga in New York City, and continues her education with senior Iyengar teachers, including Dean Lerner and Judith Lasater. She is a Doula and teaches Prenatal Yoga at Open Sky. She also is a certified Relax and Renew trainer. Along with painting and horses, her call to teach is inspired by a personal commitment to the practice.

  • Alan McAllister

    Alan McAllister was introduced to Iyengar yoga in 1990, while living at a Zen meditation center. He has recently completed the Essential Yoga Teacher Training program and is a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance. With a degree in ASL/English Interpretation, he works as an educational interpreter. Alan is excited to share the body-mind journey of yoga with the Deaf Community of Rochester.

  • Kristin Smith

    Kristin Smith, RYT 200 has been a student of yoga since 2001. Since completing the Essential Yoga Teacher Training program in 2009, she continues her studies with senior teacher Francois Raoult and senior Iyengar teachers, including Patricia Walden and Laura Antelmi. The joy, awareness and fluidity of motion she finds in the practice carries her through her teaching and life, especially while engaging in her second love, dancing Argentine tango.
